In order to help safeguard against the spread of the Corona virus, I have moved my practice online. Having gained extensive experience in working online since a number of years, I am happy to confirm that it is possible to offer effective and rewarding psychological services via the internet. Once the pandemic is over, I will continue to offer face-to-face services. If you have any questions or concerns, I will be glad to answer these.
My name is Gudrun Kober. I am an English (native), German (native) and Afrikaans speaking psychologist working in Helsinki. I am registered with the Valvira in Finland and with the Social Work and Psychology Council of Namibia. However, I am not registered with KELA for medical aid as a psychotherapist.
My aim in therapy and counseling is to provide you with an accepting and supportive professional relationship. Together we will develop a therapeutic process that takes account of your individuality and that will help you access your own resources. Your resources, that is, your strengths, abilities and talents can serve as a basis for developing constructive perspectives on, and paths out of, current difficulties.
In a nutshell, my approach is based on the understanding that there are transformative psychological processes inherent in all human beings. Given a supportive environment, these “natural” processes enable healthy development.
Please feel free to contact me by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or filling out the contact form. Because I am often with a client, I am mostly unable to receive calls, but I do check my emails daily.
